Wisconsin-based Skogen’s Festival Foods opened its doors at 6 a.m. Friday, Nov. 8, at 1616 Crest View Drive and is pleased to join the Hudson community. To show its gratitude of being welcomed into the community, Festival has made donations to local programs that support residents.
Festival made a monetary donation to Operation HELP and the Hudson Area Backpack Program, both of which focus on addressing food and financial insecurity among local residents. In July 2024, these two organizations relocated to a new shared space in Hudson, with plans to merge in January 2025. Festival’s contribution will support the new resource center in Hudson that will provide food support; financial aid for rent, utilities and car repairs; and other essential services to help meet the basic needs of individuals and families in St. Croix County.
In addition, Festival Foods has partnered with WK Kellogg Co. to support Hudson Middle School athletics through Kellogg’s Mission Tiger program. Launched in 2019, Mission Tiger, led by Tony the Tiger and Kellogg’s Frosted Flakes, aims to increase access to middle school sports. The donation from Festival and WK Kellogg will help provide students at Hudson Middle School with greater opportunities to participate in sports, build confidence and continue playing the sports they love.
“It’s an honor to give back to all of the communities we serve, including our newest community of Hudson,” said Mark Skogen, President and CEO of Festival Foods. “We’re grateful to WK Kellogg for the opportunity to partner with them as well.”
