- 1
Allow dough to rise in a warm spot for 45 minutes.
- 2
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- 3
Lightly sprinkle a work surface with flour. Divide the pizza dough into 6 sections. Divide each section into 4 pieces and roll into 5-inch long ropes.
- 4
Twist the dough into a knot and shape into a loose ball, roughly the size of a ping pong ball. Place the knot on the prepared baking sheet and repeat with remaining dough.
- 5
Cover lightly with a clean dishtowel or paper towel and let rise for 15 minutes.
- 6
While knots are rising, preheat oven to 425°F. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes, or until knots are golden brown.
- 7
While knots are baking, melt butter in a sauté pan over medium heat. Add olive oil, garlic and oregano; stir and cook for 30 seconds or until garlic is just fragrant. Toss the baked knots in the garlic butter mixture and sprinkle with sea salt and Parmesan; serve warm with marinara sauce, if desired.
