Festival Foods Marks Veterans Day with 17 Free Items for Military Guests on Nov. 11

Festival Foods, a leading Wisconsin grocery retailer, is honoring veterans and active-duty military members this Veterans Day with up to 17 free grocery items - a $60 value - across all 42 Wisconsin stores. On Wednesday, Nov. 11, military guests visiting any location can redeem the complimentary items with a qualifying $20 purchase, while supplies last.

The initiative was first launched in 2018 with the goal of providing military guests with "more than a meal" to celebrate their service. Starting with nine free products in its inaugural year, the program has grown significantly to 17 free items in 2026 as a way for Festival Foods and its vendor partners to express their sincere gratitude to veterans.

"What began nearly a decade ago as a small gesture has grown into a statewide tradition supported by over a dozen brand partners," said Travis Tiedt, Center Store Merchandise Buyer for Festival Foods, who helped establish the annual tradition. "We are honored to welcome veterans and active-duty service members into our stores each November to show our appreciation for their dedication and sacrifice."

The 2026 lineup of free items includes:

Veterans can redeem the offer in-store on Wednesday, Nov. 11, by showing a valid military ID at checkout with their minimum $20 purchase. During their visit, guests are encouraged to stop by the Festival Rewards table to learn about the grocer's newly enhanced loyalty program, which offers 2% cash back on qualifying purchases. New members who sign up through Nov. 24 will also receive a $5 welcome bonus to use toward future savings

Festival Foods is dedicated to supporting veterans year-round through its sponsorship of Heroes Cafés - free monthly coffee and fellowship gatherings hosted in store community rooms where veterans can connect and share camaraderie - as well as supporting statewide veterans programs and offering designated veteran parking spaces at every store.
